Whats good yall? Today I’m gonna give you guys a track by track review of Travis Scott’s Sophmore album “Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight“. No funny shit, Travis like the Lebron of the rap game right now. He’s no longer on the come up but he not at the level of greatness feel me? I thought we would’ve been over the drugged out auto tune sound by now. BUT YOOOOOOOOOOO HE. KEEP. REELING. NIGGAS. BACK. IN! Travis the only artist that can get away with auto tune on every track and we let him rock.
But yo lace your du-rags up (silky du-rags only tho no poly’s), turn the lights off (so you and the music can become one and trigger the right emotions) and light one (cause everything sounds better when you wyld smac)as we get into this review. Iight press play.
The Ends: Andre 3000 is a musical unicorn so a feature from him is always a gift so treat it as such. With all of these surprise appearances as of recent, does that mean we can expect a solo project or a new Outcast album out of this? Lol yo let me cook, I felt like i was up to something with that one lol Martin once had a dream.
Way Back: Still waiting for Cudi to drop an entire track of just him humming. But yo the strings at the end of this track are retarded.
Coordinate: Blac Youngsta my inner spirit animal strictly off the fact that he be flexing for the both of us.
Through the Late Night: Ok this track confirmed it for me, we need a track of just Cudi humming with Travis’ adlibs. IT’S LIT!
Beibs in the Trap: NO IT’S NOT POST MALONE! Shoutout to Trav for giving Nav a serious platform with this one.
SDP Interlude: Travis done dug up Cassie’s corpse outta Diddy’s closet and threw her on the track.
Sweet Sweet: Shoutout to all my Zoes out here nahmean.
Outside: This is what internet niggas listen to before they commit the ill twitter drive by. But 21 on a track? Its a knife, thats it!
Goosebumps: Kendrick’s high notes on this shit is immaculate.
First Take: Bryson still rapping like he got something to prove working at Poppa John’s about bitches stuntin on him.
Pick Up the Phone: Streets need a collab tape from all tree a yall. These three can’t miss on a track together. Even tho this track been out for a minute no matter where you’re at and it comes on it slaps.
Guidance: Travis sounding like he channeled his inner Drake. Tell me you don’t hear Jamaican Drake on the remix.
Wonderful: Weeknd sounding like he has one mission and one mission only, to take your shorty with the vocals.
Standout tracks: Sweet Sweet Goosebumps Outside Way Back Pick Up the Phone
Overall this album sounds like one long ass song. Can hardly tell when the songs are transitioning to the next track but the heat is consistent so I can’t complain.
