“Don’t do it for the haters, I do it for the bitches
My flow Al-Qaeda, I kill rap niggas
Y’all Now and Laters, sweet ass-niggas
Soon as you get famous, they wanna ass-kiss”
I think the beats here are really solid in particular, some of the grimiest trap production I’ve heard all year actually. My favorite beats were on East Coast REMIX, Mattress REMIX & Rubber Band Man, the first of which is one of the hardest songs of 2017 btw, no debate. These beats were just so f****n hard to me, they don’t sound like the generic trap beats you’d hear on albums from say like a Migos. They have a bit more flavour to them here as they manage to use vocal samples a lot of the time in a very creative way imo, makes some of these beats feel that much darker.
“Load up the chopper and ride on your enemies (Trap)
This what you get when you fuck with the family (Lord)
Roll with the fuckin’ winners we the winner team (Trap)”
All in all I feel like the project was a very cohesive one and sticks to Ferg’s authentic East Coast trap sound. For me a couple of the tracks felt very repetitive hence why I dropped them into the disposable pile. Though this is a project I wouldn’t bump from top to bottom again, it has a few tracks on it I can ride to. Not my most favorite body of work from Ferg with his debut *Trap Lord* still sitting at the top of that list, this is definitely an album for the die hard A$AP MOB heads.
